Paws for Progress events
Paws for Progress provide a variety of events which bring together practitioners and professionals from around the world. We focus on sharing knowledge and providing examples of good practice for Animal Assisted Interventions in a variety of settings, such as health care, education and rehabilitation.
The events we provide include networking and training events, seminars and conferences. We are keen to promote the work of other organisations working to improve the well-being of people and animals, and invite speakers from a range of backgrounds to share their experiences and work.
Paws for Progress 2016 Conference
Focusing on the unique impact of Human Animal Interactions for enhancing learning and health, this 2 day event is the second annual conference to be hosted by Paws for Progress.
The 2016 conference will take place on the 14th – 15th October at the Stirling Court Hotel. See our event page, Facebook or Twitter accounts for details of upcoming events, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request event announcements by email.
“In pain, not disobedient nor nasty” seminar with Professor Daniel Mills – March 2016
A huge thank you to Professor Daniel Mills for a very interesting and thought provoking seminar evening on the influence of pain on dog behaviour, and to Tynewater Dog Training for organising such a successful fundraising event. The evening raised a total of £1,200 for Paws for Progress, which is absolutely fantastic!
It was lovely to see so many people enjoying and learning from the evening, so thank you to all who made the event such a success including the generous donors for the Prize Draw and Silent Auction and the guests who came along to support the event.
Fundraising Live Music Night – March 2016
We would like to thank the Stirling University Live Music Society for hosting an excellent Fundraising Live Music Night! The event, held at Mediterranea, was a huge success and featured talented music, poetry and spoken word performances. We would like to thank all involved in organising and hosting the event, the generous local businesses who donated raffle prizes and of course the guests who made it such a brilliant evening.
We are delighted that the event raised £532 in total, a valuable donation to Paws which will be used to help the young people and animals who participate in our Human Animal Interaction Services.
